The following email went to staff this morning:

Sophomore Tess Yocom last night went 1 win and two losses at Indianola debating with her twin sister Taylor. They weren't happy about their performance last night but Tess will be a lot happier today. She didn't know last night that the one win elevated her onto the West Iowa District Top 25 Speakers List! As a result of her efforts, Roosevelt this morning has 6 of the top 25 speakers in the district and 5 of the Top 25 in the State.

Team Power Strength Rankings still have Roosevelt 4th although Indianola is closing quickly:

Chris Oman remains tied at 41st in the nation in the All American Award hunt (Top 25 get it at end of season).

Sometime in the next two weeks Roosevelt will exceed last year's final power ranking of 171. When that happens a new all time Roosevelt record for speech and debate power strength ranking will happen. This team is already accomplishing great things despite it's youth.
