We took 14 Roosevelt students plus a Callanan 7th grader to the Indianola Novice Debate night last evening and came home with a couple of championships and a 16-8 record. Here were some highlights:

Alyssa Bean and Alex Patch paired in Public Forum Debate went 3-0 Won Certificate
Baily Reese and Paige Freeman went 2-1
Alex Troxell went 3-0 in Lincoln Douglas debate Won Certificate
Samantha Gerleman also went 3--0 Won Certificate
Mike Summer was 1-2 in his first experience in LD
Martina Korpue and Amelia Martin finished 2-1 in PFD
Tess and Taylor Yocom were 1-2
Chris Oman with his 7th grader brother Graham (Oman squared was the entry) were 1-2

Our youngsters continue to make progress. We are especially pleased to see the growth in Lincoln Douglas students.
