Novice Policy Case Completed

Coach Nate and I attended the IFL's annual policy outing at Grinnell College this past weekend to help prepare the initial novice policy case. We will put together one or two novice policy teams who will use the cases until the end of October when the kid gloves come off novice policy and anything goes. Roosevelt has had only one policy team since 1997...that was in 2005 and lasted only 3 tournaments. We are going to make a concentrated effort to re-establish policy as part of our program. If there are returning students wishing to undertake policy, please let us know as soon as possible. Coach Harry

PS...this year's policy resolution is...

Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its public health assistance to Sub-Saharan Africa.

This year long topic is primarily about AIDs but certainly not limited to AIDS as there are a host of other public health needs in Africa such as new strains of TB, Malaria, etc.
