Adele Crane has returned from the Gustavus Adolphus speech camp and our summer camp experiences for this year have been completed. Thanks to everyone who invested in themselves to get better. It is no secret that camp kids do better than most on the circuit simply because of the confidence and experience they get in a highly structred learning environment.
Camps are not a requirement to make nationals but if you think back to the Western Iowa District team, I bet well over 70% of the students did attend a camp the previous summer. In our case we had six qualifiers and only two did not attend camps. Camp students are far more versatile as speakers allowing them to take more chances and earn more NFL points.
It sounds like all of our students had great experiences from visiting the Supreme Court to discovering they could do so much more than they imagined.
Coach Nate and I are proud of all of you for being committed to RHS forensics!
