This is important so read carefully:
IHSSA State is this weekend at DMACC in Ankeny. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING YOURSELF THERE AND WE WILL HAVE KIDS WHO NEED RIDES. Please help out in that regard.
We are excusing all kids after block one so we can accommodate rides. Congress kids-you don't start till one thirty so technically you could be in block two classes. But it requires that you have a ride lined up because the bulk of our kids will already be gone. Thus, in order to accommodate rides, I will excuse you from after block one on Friday on.
Friday start times: 12:30 for PF, LD, CX and 1:30 for Congress.
Saturday start times: Pairings at 7:30, all events at 8am
Nate has to register at 11am.
Because this is state: There are a couple of rules that we must follow. At no time are we to show any sign of anything that could constitute an "impropriety." You are not allowed to share flows with anyone outside of our team. Don't do it.
Secondly, I am asking that you not watch an out round of an event that does NOT include one of our students. This is critically important because we don't wish to be seen as collecting information on potential competitors during out rounds. Again you may not watch an out round that DOES NOT include a Roosevelt student until all Roosevelt students are eliminated in that division. Once all of our students are eliminated in a division-please watch any out round in that division you wish to watch!
Finally, while we want you to have fun at IHSSA, keep your conversations to your team mates. Don't appear to be sharing anything with anyone from another school about our team or anything you have seen or heard in the tournament.
Judging for us: Adele Crane, Mirza Germovic, Billy Strong, Nate Fredericks, Harrison Hayward, Tess Yocom and Taylor Yocom. There may be some other Roosevelt alums judging as tournament hires but we don't know yet.
You may call me for help if you need it at 515.202.4078 but I will be in Nashville with the MBA squad. Texting would be better because I could be judging when you call.
Coach Nate is in charge: 515.210.2159
Closeout rules apply as normal in that we will advance the highest seed in the tournament should close outs occur.
