We sent two students to St. Makr's in Dallas to compete in the speech tournament. I am not a fan of the debate tournament down there in LD and PF so we didn't send those students to Dallas. Nathan and Lily had a BIG TIME TOURNAMENT.
Lily won both Extemp tournaments and Nathan was second to her in both fields. Both of them also semi-finaled in Oratory.
The shockers:
1). Two Roosevelt students accumulate enough sweep points to finish second in the speech sweeps. This is essentially unheard of in major tournaments.
2). Lily Nellans was the TOP PERFORMER IN THE TOURNAMENT! What an amazing honor!
