All season we have commented on the blog and in team meeting about how Roosevelt students have dominated the West Iowa District. As we approach the end of the season, right now there are ELEVEN students with individual point totals in excess of 1000 points.
Some of this extraordinary number is due to the change in NFL point rules to be sure. Still this is an amazing total--one the district might not see again for many years. It is really incredible!

Plus we have several students in the 800 point range. These totals DO NOT include national qualifier points which will increase these totals significantly.
The above is a school record for sure and maybe even a state record.
Congratulations to each of these students--this is incredible stuff--another mark of an amazing season and a journey this senior class undertook four seasons ago.
We seem to have two types of freshmen: those who got started early and prospered and those who still aren't really going. The freshman class of this year has the talent to equal or exceed this year's seniors...but only time will tell if they can do it.
