We are excusing as follows: Central at the end of 2nd hour and Roosevelt at the end of 3rd hour. This allows for bus transport back to Roosevelt for the Central students. I will be driving my suburban and Nate will be driving a rented expedition. So there will be plenty of room for everyone.
We will leave Roosevelt north parking lot around 11am and drive to Culver's at Newton (sorry CeCe) for lunch and then drive on to Iowa City. If the kids vote to drive straight through to Iowa City before lunch to eat at Steak and Shake-fine.
Hotel is the Marriott Hotel in Coralville. Phone #319-688-4000. We are 3 and 4 in a room at a nice hotel. We are staying Friday night only.
The tournament is at Iowa City West High School on Melrose Avenue. Return time is around 10:30pm on Saturday night. We will unload in the North parking lot. Parents will get about a half hour notice to pick up students. Please be on time.

A final note about this trip: This is the end of the season for the novice squad. We have several FIRST time debaters with us on this trip. We will eat at the Ox Yoke Inn in the Amanas on our return which is a tradition on this trip. The value of Novi Nats is to see how we fare against other novice students in the country (usually pretty well) and have some fun. Stories from Novi Nats abound each year in the program and usually end up being repeated when students are seniors and share their experiences with the team and parents at banquet.
