Gustavus Adolphus College will host a MAYDAY! Oratory Contest as part of its 30th annual MAYDAY! Peace Conference, Wednesday, April 28, 2010.
Eligibility: Senior High School Students (9-12)
First Prize Winner: $750; Second Prize Winner $250

Important Reminders:
1. You oratory should not exceed 1,500 words and should address the following question:
“How would you create, nurture, and preserve peace in your community?”
2. All participants will compete in three preliminary rounds of competition at 8:30 am, 9:30 am, and 12:30 pm.
3. The top six speakers from the preliminary rounds will advance to a final round before a panel of five judges at 3:30 pm as part of the MAYDAY! Peace Conference festivities.
4. A manuscript can be used during all rounds of competition.
