Last weekend, as previously noted, Alyssa Bean's house was destroyed by fire. The family spent the weekend with the Red Cross and is now at the Residence Inn in West Des Moines. Their insurance will not be enough to replace the loss. There is an urgent need for cash and clothing for the family. Wrestling and baseball are doing their part. Staff here has contributed to a collection. There is a care package coming from of all places, Okoboji Debate.
It is now time that we gather up what we can to help them out. They lost everything. I would like to see us raise some quick cash that can go to Walmart gift cards to help them out in the short term. We are trying to get clothing sizes, etc from parents who are buried in cleanup, a move, finding a new home, etc.
Anything you can contribute would be huge. Again the need is URGENT. It is things like replacing $130 calculators for Alyssa and her sister for math classes.
Please sent something via your student by MONDAY. Gift cards, cash, teenage girls clothing for someone about 5 6 and 125 pounds or so. But what is really need is cash.
