There are two major news stories today of note. The first is shooting incident between the navies of North and South Korea. While that hasn't happened in 7 years, most likely that will calm down. North Korea is listed as a failed nation on all surveys and is seen as provoking a conflict.

The other story is a bit scarier. Saudi Arabia today imposed a naval blockade on Northern Yeman where Iranian backed Shite rebels have been causing serious havok. Saudi Arabia is seen here as protecxting it's borders and sending a strong message to Iran of enough. Iran uses proxies to destabalize their region to their favor. Remember, Iran appears on some lists as a failed nation. Further, the book "The Devil we Know" essentially predicts a Saudi-Iranian war for control of the Arab world. The US is the Saudi "best friend." So Iran can draw the US into another expensive military conflict if it so chooses. Iran certainly prolonged our involvement in both Iraq and Afganistan. Further, Iran has forced the US to beef up our security arrangments with Israel by constantly providing terrorist groups with rockets and armaments.
