Extemp Tournament of Champions also offers a supplemental event national championship. College impromptu is an event once a student is eliminated in extemp. This year Amelia Martin became the first Roosevelt student to place in Impromptu at TOC--finishing 5th in the final round. Congratulations to Amelia!
Extemp was as difficult as ever at the TOC....hard questions and tough judges. Still Mirza Germovic had a late opportunity to sneak into the semi final round. Mirza just didn't have a good 6th prelim round. Amelia wasn't far behind him and Catherine Chiodo learned what real national level extemp was all about. This was not a tournament for the timid!
It was a first class event this year with Saturday rounds on campus and Sunday rounds at the remodeled Hotel Orrington. A job well done by the Northwestern Forensics team!
