We have 7 students qualified for the Extemp Tournament of Champions May 15-17 at Northwestern University. This is a National championship event in which Roosevelt over the past 4 seasons has gotten at least one student in quarter finals each year. Last year, Billy lost the championship on a tie breaker.
This is a difficult field and a challenging weekend. However, my experience in this tournament is that it is huge in a student's career. Breaking in EX-TOC is a big deal.
I need to know as soon as possible which of our qualified students wish to attend. Hotel will be about $195 plus something toward gas and tolls. I have booked rooms at the best hotel in the immediate area (the Orrington).
