As a result of our two PF teams winning so many rounds of debate at the National Tournament, Roosevelt was declared a Schwan's National School of Excellence in Debate for 2008! We brought back a huge pewter trophey.
This is a top 10 debate program designation by the NFL!
Actually 11 schools got the debate award, 6 schools got the speech award and one school got a combo speech and debate award...over 850 high schools attended! DMPS will be producing a press release this week about our results at nationals...expect to see it in the Register in the next week or so.
