Mid American Cup at WDM Valley

There are no official results from day one but Coach Sam Fairfield and all 6 of our students left tonight feeling very good about their 4 rounds of public forum. We think those 12 rounds broke anywhere from 9-3 to 11-1 for Roosevelt. Two more prelims rounds happen on Sunday morning and then two rounds of eliminations in the afternoon. Quarterfinalists get to miss school Monday morning and instead will be at the West Des Moines Marriott Hotel debating on the Iraq soft partition resolution. This is a national level tournament. Our 3 PF teams faced schools from Iowa, Florida, Missouri and Kansas today. Coaches Nate and Harry will be there Sunday and Coach Harry (if need be) on Monday.
