Transportation Needs

We have a predominately young team and many students cannot drive themselves to local tournaments. We need parents who are willing to provide transportation to tournaments. This prevents us from having to pay $1,200+ to rent buses! We need at least five families to drive to Simpson. If you can please drive students email Mrs. McCool

Concession Stand Fundraising:

Hosting Dates -- September 26; October 16-17; December 11-12.                               
We host three tournaments during first semester (and none second semester).  Our largest source of money comes from the concession stands we run during these tournaments.  Since many of our students are competing, we need parents to help judge and to help run the concession stand. Jen Kirke has volunteered to coordinate the concessions stands and we expect each family to volunteer for at least one shift each tournament. Her email is jennkirke@gmail.com. 

Judge Training for Parents

October 1 at 6:30 pm in the Library

As an effort to lower entry fees for tournaments we need parents to judge at DSM Metro tournaments (and occasionally out of town too!) In order to help parents feel prepared to do so we’re going to have a crash-course training session. If you’re interested in attending RSVP to Mrs. McCool via email. 
In October we will need judges for Simpson as well as the Tournavelt (at least!)

Paying For Tournaments

This year instead of students bringing money to Mrs. McCool all fees will be posted to the student’s Infinite Campus account. This allows you to pay at your convenience and to choose from multiple methods of payment. Fees will not be posted (and students will not compete) unless a parent or guardian signs a permission slip allowing them to do so. These forms will be available via the blog. The form for Simpson will be posted soon.
