A group of parents helped out judging and driving for Novice Nationals. Their day on Saturday got really extended when the team caught fire and got deep in the tournament. When we left we there were only about 5 or 6 schools left in the building. That means we did very well!
A special thanks to these families:
Barcus
Rice
Leys
I would like to single out Tony Leys who continued a Roosevelt tradition of a senior's parent driving to Novice Nationals. Like a lot of our parents, Tony contributes even when his son is only helping out and not competing. We have been blessed with that kind of support over the years. Thanks to all of you and especially Tony!
We also had a junior's parent volunteer to help and we decided we didn't need David Courard-Hauri in the end. That was a mistake on my part because we needed the extra vehicle late Saturday night. But we got it figured out. Thanks again everyone!
