Finalist from Roosevelt at State Speech were the Riders finished second to Dowling. It was the fifth year in a row of a top 3 finish at State Speech. Congratulations to everyone. It was a hard fought tournament--Dowling's depth just ran us down in the end.

A total of 22 Roosevelt entries broke to semi finals but that was six less than Dowling. That difference of six haunted us the rest of the way.
Finalist from Roosevelt in State Debate. Valley won the team championship, the Riders were runner-ups in both tournaments. It was a fine effort but sometimes there is just no luck in a tournament and we caught no breaks in debate.
