Wed. I spoke to the kids that the University of Iowa essentially threw us off campus on short notice for the State tournament. There are now two proposals to save the tournament for this year. It may well be at UNI or it may well be at Valley and the West Des Moines Marriott hotel. I will advise when I know for sure.
However, it is patently clear to me that the Univ of Iowa debate coach deep sixed the championships at Iowa City. Coach Bellus is not very popular right now with a lot of high school coaches.
But for sure, All Iowa finals will be held Feb 28th to Mar 2nd somewhere. More details to follow.
