Two Roosevelt and a Dowling student are pre-season All Americans in NFL points. Nathan Leys is 12th and Lily Nellans is 22nd on the list. Simon Sheaff of Dowling is 18th. Not only have there never been three Iowas in the Top 25 at any one time but only two Iowans in history have earned All American Honors...one at Burlington in 2000-01 and one at Roosevelt in 2007-08. Roosevelt has two shots at this over the next two seasons!
ps: this is a difficult and challenging road as I have been down it now 7 previous times. Please be supportive of our two candidates early in the year because they will win or lose this in the first half of the season as states like Kansas, Minnesota and Missouri all pile in the points in March and April when we are inactive.
