Coach Nate has become a diamond coach this week. A diamond is a significant accomplishment in the life of a NFL coach in that is sybolizes earning over 15,000 student points (credited at one tenth value) and having coached for at least seven seasons. There are now two diamond coaches in the program! In Iowa there are a number of diamond coaches and a number of multiple diamond coaches such as Tim Sheaff and Carole Dickey with 3 diamonds.
Nate has been a very loyal and committed coach to the activity of forensics at Roosevelt. This is a huge honor and it is well deserved. Both Nate and I will have our pictures pubished this year in the Rostrum and will be honored at the NFL Diamond Coaches reception in Indianapolis during the National Tournament. This assumes, of course, it is held, before we have to leave for Billy's wedding!
