If you missed the team dinner at the Courard-Hauri's house last night, you missed a great team gathering. Probably 35 team members showed up and enjoyed a nice meal (including Henry's wonderful cake, Ley's great homemade pizza and Kayleigh's pasta). Then everyone enjoyed smores from the campfire. Thanks to Kayleigh, Julianna and their parents for hosting--it was a nice weekend off from competing. We have students now competing every weekend at one or more sites from now until January 20th less Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks.

This next weekend has 7 students competing in two national events: the University of Florida Blue Key Extemp Tournament and the Iowa Caucus Tournament at Cedar Rapids Washington High School in LD and CX. Blue Key looms as a huge tournament with the news this am that our extemp team was 4th in the nation! Strong will be in Florida and Fredericks in Cedar Rapids.
