The first goal of any national level tournament is to make it into and win a Tournament of Champions bid round. Five of our students got there this weekend and four got their first bids. It takes two to qualify to Lexington Kentucky at the end of April. So congratulations to Kayleigh Courard Hauri, Nathan Leys, Becky Hall and newcomer (junior transfer from Hoover in her FIRST ever speaking apperance) Carolyn Evans.
Samatha Gerleman made it to the bid round in Lincoln Douglas debate but lost out to St. Louis Park, MN. Sam competes in the single most difficult event to qual to the TOC--Lincoln Douglas Debate.
Roosevelt took 2nd in Congress (Luke Theuma), won PF (Kayleigh and Nathan) and had a semi finalist in PF (Becky and Carolyn).
