Today I have hugged three seniors who went the distance in their high school speech/debate careers...Tess, Catherine and Michael.
Finals in speech are underway this afternoon and will continue through all events tomorrow and we will be on the road about 10pm headed for Des Moines.
As of this writing, Iowa City West might win the CX championship, Anna Lyons of Valley is one of nine left in the LD championships.
So 3 Iowa students, including Leys remain alive at this late hour.
