Congress Quals go against Roosevelt
Our very good year this season came back to bite us with student preference voting in all Congress houses yesterday in Carroll. Had the district coaches used judge preference and not student preference, we would have had two qualifiers but they voted overwhelmingly for student preference. Tess was one ballot on student ranks from qualifying. Lily was the judge's blowout winner in her house but third on the student's sheets. All of our kids did well with all but one making the top 8 in their house. Good show Roosevelt. The lack of metro schools participating probably sank us and Ankeny's clear dislike of Roosevelt at this event was pretty obvious. They were still smarting from Westberg's defeat at State by Roosevelt.
