We don't get a results packet until Thursday on line but this is a recap:
Flannery and Roeder won the Public Forum Division with two other teams being in quarters: Martin/Schott and Germovic/Chiodo
Yocom/Roat just missed advancing to quarters.
The PFD field was tough with 2 Florida schools, Eagan MN and Indianola trying to make life miserable for us. Our teams did VERY WELL.
Our two LD students in the tournament did well. Taylor Yocom faced hard draws and finished 3-3. I think this was her best effort to date. Samantha Gerleman had a great weekend given the caliber of the tournament as well. She had a huge win over the Meadows School in Las Vegas.
Harrison Hayward and Alex Patch found a policy win and could have had two others. It was Alex's first CX experience and, of course, they woudl struggle a bit. But they did very well all things considered.
Rob Denhartog was in Congress but we have no idea of where he finished and won't until later in the week when JOT posts the tournament results packets.
Overall, a GREAT start to this season!
