Points have been posted for Roosevelt students from Nationals. The result is that Catherine Chiodo won the team an extra degree so we finish the season at 212 degrees...9 behind Indianola--we finished 5th best in the state. I expect to start next season in 5th as well...Indianola has a big advantage on us in that they put out 18 novice CX teams each year through a class requirement. That gives them 36 dgrees each season we can't compete with at all. I'm not complaining but sharing as to how they get ahead of us. We need a large freshman class to overcome that class requirement of Coach Waugh's.
Spencer Sheaff will NOT be a NFL All-American. With his breaking to Octo finals at Nationals he did reach his personal goals: Honorable mention All-American, Number One in Dowling Point History and probably #2 in Iowa history in gross points. He might be #3 when adjusted points are applied. He did not run down Billy. And Amelia can catch Spencer in points.
It has been a great season with much accomplished. Goal setting with our captains next season should be fun--we can reach new heights yets.
