Parents: It is tournament time and we have not one but 3 tournaments to host over the next two and a half months. Each is uniquely different and has a lessening degree of requirement. But the toughest of all is two weeks away.
Calls are being made to parents to help out. We very much appreciate your help in the judges lounge, concessions or elsewhere. A very special thanks to Deb Chiodo, Kathy Schott, Beth Flannery and Laura Bandstra who will each be heading up some key areas. Deb and Kathy have the judge's lounge; Beth has concessions and Laura will handle the Barnes and Noble fundraiser on Friday the 12th.
We need your help and need it badly so please offer some time! In time, this tournament should become the chief fundraiser for the program. It is especially important for parents of the younger students to realize what value this can bring over the next few years.
Rob Denhartog Sr will be in charge of outside the building. He may have the hardest job of all with a weather forecast that looks bleak at best.
We should be prepared for the following: feeding in one fashion or another somewhere between 300-400 people for two days; weather that might turn bitter cold and very snowy and finally all the little things that come up along the way.
Thank you all for your help! If we work together, this can be a much easier task. It will be tiring! I've got my fingers crossed that the weather cooperates!
