Word economy is key--we are too verbose and it shows on the ballots this weekend. Employ the keep it simple system, reduce numbers, increase impacts and most of all be more efficient in word use in responses! The more efficient you are the more arguments you can place in play! We are literally beating ourselves by not being more efficient in word use.
And we have no humor in round--lighten up! Making the audience feel good is part of good speech and argument making. After all the French have given America what? The Statue of Liberty, french fries (not really) french bread and, of course, wine. They have also helped force us into two world wars, helped bring the Euro about, flirted with communism, encouraged us to cover their mistakes in Vietnam and far more...and we want to follow their example in health care? At 10pm on Saturday night I'm short of examples but enjoy debating--have some fun in round.
Also be inquistivite in your research...for example has the French Government had to bail out their health insurance companies? Is the rapidly growing Muslim populatation covered by French health care and at what costs..
