Despite a number of our students in fall sports, we had over 35 students at our meeting yesterday including a number of new students who have not attended any previous incoming student meeting!
We also had a number of students FORGET about the meetings (which are every Wed. after school in 106).
Right now we are under the believe our squad size will number around 60 this season--a far cry from 5 students just 4 years ago.
It will take everyone a while to figure out what they want to try in speech and debate and it will take coaches a while to figure out a practice schedule which fits the majority of our students.
We had one student speak yesterday in practice and 6 others working CX files.
Freshmen parents expecting a set schedule will quickly find out it will be awhile before a set schedule settles down because we need to know who is doing what, what days they are available and figure out how we can cover all the bases. So please be patient. it will all work out!
