Nate's policy camp is off to a good start. If there are those who want to participate just to learn some debate stuff--go to room 159 in Scavo between 10-4 each day this week and next week. No camp on Sundays.
What amazes me is Harrison Hayward. He is functioning and sounding like a Varsity CX kid since his return from the Iowa camp. He is spending his summer in speech and debate doing THREE camps. Wow!
Here is the absolutly dumbfounding thing: you have to be a little bit nuts to do policy anyway..but the event he is going to do at the Gustavus camp is HI! We all know how far off your rocker you have to be to do HI--just look at Greg Boal! (Thanks Greg!).
Harrison: there will be one day next year I will love you--the day Sheaff can't deal with us any longer...HI and CX...what a mix! I suspect a long standing debate legend is in the making. Sheaff couldn't take our OI and Extemp mix..what will he do when a policy tournament has to be held up for a HI round? Cry? This could be good.
