Our major event of the year looms before us and it would appear that we will have to adjust our entries some because of the limits imposed by the Iowa High School Foresnics League. Should that happen, some freshmen may have to be cut from the travel team.
Further, for those freshmen who are in both Mock Trial and going to IHSFL your students would be out of class for an extended period. This has never happened before in this manner but will happen this year because of scheduling. The only time TRHS can attemp to qualify for mnock trial is Wednesday, March 5th in Council Bluffs. That involves a Tuesday night on the road.
IHSFL begins Thursday afternoon in Iowa City so students will only get a couple of classes in on Thursday and then be gone potentially the rest of Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This does not apply to everyone as we will be shuttling some students back and forth on Friday but those in Iowa City Thursday will miss most or all of Friday as well. Those coming over for Friday debate will be in school Thursday and some of Friday.
If there is an issue, call me now about the matter not wait to the last minute. Unfortunatly, mock trial is running a week late this year and IHSFL is a week early this year to accomodate the Spring break issues.
