We have put up a block of rooms at the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Iowa City. Our plan is to use that hotel which is about an 8 minute walk to memorial Union for the tournament since the tournament director failed to secure a block of rooms in the Iowa House Hotel. We will charge the $30 per night and this is a two night tournament for most of you for $60.
The question then becomes do we charter to Iowa City on Thursday or can parents drive and help judge on Thursday, Friday and Saturday? If we can live without the bus, the program would save over $1500. We are going to need a huge number of judges anyway. So I need an idea of who can drive, spent the night and be of help in the judging pools as quickly as possible.
