I am posting this now because the weather DOES NOT LOOK GOOD AT ALL for either Des Moines or Boston for our Harvard trip. If these storms materialize as expected, we will need to decide if we are even making the trip. It would be far better to lose our airfare than have a disaster on our hands in Boston.
We have a potential major storm affecting Des Moines Thursday night and Friday. Boston will have the exact same thing Thursday night and Friday. Then another potential major storm is expected in Des Moines Monday into Tuesday.
If we make this trip DO NOT TAKE THE WEATHER LIGHTLY. Come prepared for winter in Boston. Cold and snow. Walking around Harvard in the cold is NOT fun. Prep rooms are blocks away from speaking rooms in extemp.
Make sure your winter coat has your name somewhere on it. We lost a $250 coat last year and never got it back even though we know a Florida school ended up with it. Harvard is the largest tournament in America and they take NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING.
Two Iowa schools are attending: Roosevelt and Iowa City West.
