I have learned a number of our students failed to share with you the fundraisng note sent home 3 weeks ago. There is a $1500 matching grant gift to the program from one of our friends. This gift was made last year as well in a effort to get our program a bit more stable financially. The gift had a stipulation of us raising a matching $1500 through contributions by October 15th. That date has graciously been extended to November 1st but we have to get this job done.
So far only about $350 has been raised through $25-50 gifts. We need help badly. Since the average tournament with this many students runs us anywhere from $300-800 for entry fees, judges, transportation, and more.
This year will run about $12,000 and maybe more. The bus alone to Spencer for National Qualifer will be $1200. PLEASE consider a tax deductible gift to the program to help all of our students. We do have a number of students who need some financial help along the way. Coach Harry
