We have rooms for Friday night only.
If Sat rooms are needed, we will make that adjustment on the fly late Saturday.
Odds are, we will not need Saturday accomodations but it could happen. We would attempt to return to Des Moines everyone Sat night not needed on Sunday morning.
This is a national level tournament. If you are novices please understand, this tournament is for experience and to "toughen you up" a bit. You will see things you have not seen in debate before and the learning opprotunity is huge.
We are on the November topic for LD and limits are off on novice policy...anything goes! There is NOT a novice LD division. Chances are we aren't the only school which has novices entered in LD. Last year, Liz entered as a novice, got beat badly her first few rounds and then found her first varsity win along the way! Coaches are not concerned with wins and losses in this tournament for LD students...this is a huge opprotunity to learn so keep a good attitude and make the most of it!
