Billy Strong sits in the #10 position on the NFL Point Leaderboard as of September 1st! The
top 25 students at the end of the season will become High School All Americans. He has a huge opprotunity in front of him BUT he must qualify for nationals at Spencer in February. Failure to qualify will cost him his chance. There has only been one Iowa student in modern history to earn All-American Speech and Debate honors...that was at Burlington High School in both 2000 and 2001. Notice these are mostly Midwestern students where speech and debate has been very solid the past 10 years! This is one reason why we should never be afraid to face students from other sections of the country--we are just as good!
