Novices please take note of this posting:
The Iowa High School State Speech Association is hosting a one day seminar at Ankeny High School for novices who wish to compete in Public Forum and Congress debate. Your head coach, Harry Strong, will serve on the instructional panel for Public Forum in the morning and then the Indianola debate team will provide a sample debate early afternoon.
We are very fortunate in that it's in Ankeny and requires no further travel. The past few seasons this experience was held in Carroll.
You will need to bring lunch money as nothing is being served. There is a Sonic and something else very nearby--within walking distance.
This is a good instructional session and our past novice students who attended this event all enjoyed it and felt more comfortable afterwards--so I encourage your participation.
