Olivia Sandbothe was summoned to the office this morning to learn of her ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN AWARD from the National Forensic League!!!
Pictures were taken for the Register of her, Billy (a winner of the honor in late May) and Kathie Danielson, our new Principal.
There will be a more formal presentation at today's meeting. If you are a novice student in our program, please know that we value academics first. Olivia will be shocked at the doors this honor will open for her in her college opprotunities. It is a huge recogniztion and you need to congratulate her accordingly.
It is our third Academic All American Award in the history of our program and the third in the past nine months! Sam Fairfield, now a freshman at Grinnell, also won this award in January last year. Well fewer than 1% of all NFL students win this award! Coach Nate and I are so very impressed by the academic standing of the 3 of you and of the debate team overall. Keep up the great classroom work!
I am also very, very pleased that both of our Co-Captains are also Academic All Americans. This is example setting and leadership.
