Omaha Westside Tournament

We made the right decision not to attend Westside due to weather concerns. There were several weather incidents Saturday night returning to Des Moines. Most noteable was the near death experience of Cedar Rapids Washington when they lost control of their vehicle on ice and slid thru the I80 median near Anita....across the two lanes of on coming traffic and up on a small hill. There were no injuries. Those of you who were unhappy with my cancel decision on Thursday please understand saftey is a major concern. Had we been in a coach bus I would have allowed the trip...but we weren't and I was worried about the forcast. We can't always guess the weather accuratly but we can try to make intelligent decisions. Coach Harry
